God's power

It's amazing when I start leaning on my own strength the enemy tries to bring me down. Doubts begin...I ask God to show me his power. Then amazing things happen so there is no doubt it is God showing His power.

Until next time...

The excitement begins...

...because Blake asked me to marry him and I said "of course". January 14, 2007 he gave me a gorgeous ring, he said the sweetest things and he loves me. It was perfect. If you want the whole story you'll have to just ask me.

We're thinking 7/7/07. Cool huh!?!

As you can see I'm staying up pretty late. There is no school tomorrow but I am tired.

Until next time...

End of an era...

That's what my dad said when I told him that my grandma (my mom's stepmother) died today. She was 72. She fought this cancer hard. She was a classy, hard-working, and giving woman who will be greatly missed.

It's still not real to me yet. The funeral will be Friday. I will have to prepare my first substitute plans. Death is a hard concept. One minute you're here and not the next. I saw her yesterday and told her I loved her even though she couldn't respond. She was the head of this family ever since Grandpa died a little over 5 years ago. They both will always be missed. It's hard not to cry.

I got another student...another boy. Now I have 10 boys and 4 girls. He's really respectful and bright, but still an active normal 2nd grader. I think he is a nice addition to the class.

Baseball and I looked at engagement rings and are talking pretty seriously about things...stay tuned. I can't imagine why I deserve this wonderful man. I just hope that I can be the woman that he deserves.

I guess with everything, one just needs to keep trusting the Lord and being still in His presence for guidance. He is the creator of everything good and He has chosen to love me.

Until next time...
