Summer is here

Hello everyone!

Now it is officially Summer. I know it was a couple of days ago, but for myself it starts today because I had my last day of class yesterday. Woohoo! I'm glad that I took the class but I am also very relieved that it is over. Grammar for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week for 6 weeks is a little intense. Yes, believe it or not, I am a little sick of grammar.

I haven't heard anything from the Christian school yet. I can be patient.

There's a lady at work who is in her 30s and found out that she has lymphoma. There is also a guy at work who just found out he has pancreatic cancer. The library staff has really been hard hit just since I started here in fall 2004. There have been lots of parents of staff (around 6 or 7) who have passed away. Three people have moved or retired. Now these 2 are seriously ill. The library staff needs prayer. Thank you.

Last night N (Nifty) and 3 of her co-workers, and I went frisbee golfing (frolfing!). We had actual frisbees instead of the frisbee golfing frisbees so it was a little more difficult I think. Needless to say we had to let people behind us go ahead of us. I got the highest score. If you know anything about golf one wants to get the lowest score! ha! It was fun. Nifty and I rode our bikes there too! On the way we saw a little band concert by a heritage museum. That was neat too.

Nifty's sister has stayed with us a little bit. That's been fun too. She's off visiting her oldest sister and her roommate from Alaska. I can't remember when she is coming back. So K if you are reading this...let us know so Nifty can pick you up at the airport on the right day and time. ha!

The Funky Bunch (Baseball's sister, her husband, and kids) is gone to Missionary Associate training in Missouri. They'll be gone for about a month. We miss them. J's been emailing and updating us on the kids and what they are all doing. It sounds like they are doing alright. It's awesome to see them follow the Lord's leading in this even if I don't want them to leave. They will be moving to Russia within a few months.

My friend L's (roommate in college, Europe trip...) husband's father died of a heart attack on June 2. He was 57. So, R and L are selling their house and moving up there to farm and progress on starting his carpentry/construction business. We will miss them tremendously. L will be able to be home with her 2 little boys instead of working, so that will be a wonderful part of this situation.

My brother JC cut his hair. He can put his hair into a mohawk now. It is quite interesting. I've only seen the pictures. I saw him with it down. I bet it is cooler for the summer. He helped with VBS again this year. I think he enjoys that.

Enjoy life wherever you are.

Until next time...
